         The Secret of the Great Mind - Leonardo Da Vinci

 When name of  famous Da Vinci is mentioned, the first association is Mona Lisa, his masterpiece. But, what's hidden beneath the most  beautiful smile of all? Sofisticated art, wisdom, beauty  on its  source, elegance in each  move, in one word, genial mind!Da Vinci is not just a painter with common inspiration but also a creator, illuminated with cosmic energy, whose ideas were  ahead his  time. He is carrying  the  heritage of   whole human race  cause  his  works, whether  artistic, scientific, architectural, are reaveling the universal sign of  humanity. He is master of   the  truth, the unique one for entire world, the timeless one. Leonardo Da Vinci is  endless topic, some people  are delighted  at  him, some  accuse  him and  some envy, that's  all  matter  of  ability to understand. Therefore, I  will  try  to  establish my  own  theory  about him and  give  the  reasons why I  find  him extraordinary. First  accomplishement  of  Great  Leonardo is  courage which, amoung all, made  him famous. His  sincerety, following  strong  decisiveness   joined    his inestimable  intelligence. For  the man of  15  & 16 th  century he  was more  than unusual so his ideas were. In   this world  of art the main  preoccupation  was not to show the surface  of  thing but  the deep side  of  it. His  Mona  Lisa  is  not  just  a  portrait of  noble woman but  the principle of  feminine. His painting is showing  the woman  but speaking his own language through it. Leonardo was  intending to  send  some  message  over his works. There's  ''The Last Supper '' as  an  example. Painting  which  is  showing  the  last  night  of  Jesus Christ and  his  evangelists, many   people would say, just  an  religious theme, but Leonardo's  aim was  more than this. He entered deep inside  the hearts of  those people, showing caracteristic feeling  of   each  of  them, taking us  right to  the   the truth. That can be only provided by this marvelous  man, the magician of   life. Da  Vinci's  creativity went further, he  didn't  satisfy just with artcraft, his  obsession was  science, he wanted  to explore  human body,to  find  the   finest   details  about  what's   under  the  skin. ''Vitruvian man'' is  showing  his perfection, the precision  of  a painter, feeling  for the shape of  a sculptor, great  knowledge of  a scientist. He  also  proved himself  in seeking for the most exciting and most prescious moment of  mankind- pregnancy. He  wanted, like  no one  till then, to unveil the steps  of  growing fetus, with his powerful  fingers, he scanned for  us  what nature created. I think  that he's led  by  some holy hand, that he was a tool of  a higher force, like a medium, chosen one. He seems  almost unbelievable, considering  the fact he lived  in a past  time, without even a thought of  any technical  progress. All around him was present but he, was a  future himself, he was the  symbol  of  incoming time. I'm sure he  was aware  of  this fact which gave him strength to go on. From  my   point   of   view Da  Vinci accomplished one   universal idea. Whole his work drawings, paintings, designs, theories, many  notes that he’d  made are just  part  of this  universal idea, idea of progress, how to make world more developed. He  was  predictor  who  left  us a sign. How? Well, he  was  exploring  the  essence of  life so he could  build a  system  of  signs which are  saved  within  his works. If we’re ready  and  brave enough we will read them, we’ll receive  the message which Great Da Vinci left us. I  feel strong connection between  his time and  present one. All  the patents he  created  became true in  modern  world. His  accomplishement is also giving an advice to young, modern, creators, new generation of artists. He’s  an example  how one  man can be  so powerful, but  this power is not based on material side, but on his own mind, his own ability, his own creativity, and this is showing that creative mind always triumphs. The secret of  this  great  mind, the real renaissance man, was his inventivity in wide spectrum of  interes. Even if  I could elect one of  his works or ideas to emphasize as the greatest accomplishement of  Da Vinci I  wouldn't do it  because that would be a big mistake and I  wouldn't be consistent in my opinion. Leonardo is a man, an artist  who has a glory in his hands, people  can love him  or not, they can accept him or deny, but  one is  for sure, they  can't ever  forget him  cause this man can't be  forgotten, he  will  always  exist, even if his name ever disappears his works will talk instead of him, ''Gioconda'' will be telling eternal story of one man who visited  this planet leaving his deep mark and left it, but his  soul is still amooung us. His shadow, bright eyes and brilliant mind will remain  as  a testemony of his life. Everything else is a history.
